Overview
This 165-acre wetland, owned by the city of Petaluma, was originally a dredge-spoils disposal site, where river mud was periodically dumped from the dredging of the river. The park opened to the public in 1996, and is now popular for walking the family dog, (which must be on a leash at all times), jogging, and birdwatching. The park features a two-mile circular trail and a one-mile cutoff trail across an iron bridge spanning Adobe Creek and running through Alman Marsh to the Petaluma Marina.
