Armstrong Redwoods State Park

Overview

This State Natural Reserve features 805 acres of old growth redwoods, the oldest being 1,400 years old. Popular destinations include the Colonel Armstrong Tree, the Parson Jones Tree, the Burbank Circle, and the Icicle Tree. Walking, hiking, and horseback riding are available for visitors of all fitness levels. Trails range from short flat nature trail loops of less than 1 to 2+ miles up to back country hikes of 5 to 10 miles into the adjacent Austin Creek State Recreation Area.
